Action for Sustainable Development and Citizen Welfare (ASDC) is a legally registered National Non-Governmental Organization in Rwanda, established under the Law N° 058/2024 of 20/06/2024 governing national NGOs.
Our headquarters are located in Kamonyi District, Southern Province, with the mandate to operate nationwide across the Republic of Rwanda.
ASDC is a non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization working for the general public interest. We exist to promote sustainable development and improve citizen welfare by addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges through innovative, inclusive, and people-centered solutions.
‘‘ASDC’' was founded with a vision to create a future where people and the planet thrive together. We emerged from the recognition that climate change, environmental degradation, poverty, and social inequality are deeply interconnected and require integrated solutions. By turning these global challenges into opportunities for resilience, innovation, and equity, ASDC empowers communities to adapt, prosper, and lead in building a sustainable future. From local villages to pre-urban centres, we partner with citizens, innovators, policymakers, and changemakers to turn challenges into solutions ensuring no one is left behind in the journey to sustainable development.
Our mission is to contribute to sustainable development and citizen wellbeing by promoting inclusive education, green-smart agriculture, environmental protection, waste management, clean energy, access to clean water and sanitation, improved health services, social inclusion, and socio-economic empowerment for vulnerable groups.
The Rwanda where every citizen from rural pre-urban areas especially the most vulnerable enjoys dignity, equity, and wellbeing in a healthy environment, with communities thriving through sustainable development and resilience to climate change.
Our actions are driven by five core principles and focused on achieving critical targets set by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

3. Sustainability
Promoting balanced solutions that protect the environment, advance social equity, and drive economic growth.
4. Resilience
